Description
en Issued on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Middle East Airlines. This coin was offered as a part of two different sets of coins (See "Is Part Of"). When issued it was encapsulated and displayed in a presentation box. A serialized COA was enclosed with every set. It was also offered individually, encapsulated in a presentation acrylic case, (onboard MEA aircarfts).

Obverse
Colored Middle East Airlines Airbus 330 plane flying right. Color-filled Middle East Airlines (MEA) and the occasion (70 years) logos.

Reverse
The reverse has an ornamental background of flowers and leaves and in its center a gilt stylized shape of a cedar tree. The cedar tree is encompassed by an arabesque hexagonal shape made from connecting six arches of typical Arabic gateways. The Arabic numerals denoting the denomination are at the center of the cedar tree and the Latin numerals are at its trunk. Four inlaid crystal stones surround the central shape presenting the compass directions.
