Two bees act as spacers in upper left and right sides.
Reverse
In the center a Phoenician ship - a trireme with 10 rowers and a leader above a wavy thick line;
Top inscription: the denomination in Arabic "٥ غروش";
Bottom inscription: the denomination in French "5 PIASTRES";
Year of issue in both numerals Arabic and western is on the bottom.
Mint marks: Control marks are on both sides of the denomination on the bottom: Cornucopia on the left side and Torch on the right side.
