What is the Wissamium Reference Collection (WRC)?
The Wissamium Reference Collection (WRC) is a curated physical archive of orders, decorations, and medals (ODMs) issued in modern-day Lebanon. Mirrored online, it is maintained in parallel across physical and digital platforms, with synchronized updates to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Curated by Engineer Abdallah Absi and maintained under Turathium™, the WRC provides authoritative reference specimens for scholarly research, authentication, and phaleristic analysis. The collection is continually enriched through the acquisition of rare and contemporary issues, offering lasting archival, academic, and historical value.
What does it include?
The WRC encompasses all officially issued Lebanese ODMs from 1922 to 2025, with multiple examples when necessary to document variations in manufacture, design, condition, or materials.
Why the WRC?
The WRC serves as a foundational tool for:
Verifying authenticity
Comparing variants
Detecting altered or counterfeit examples
Supporting in-depth phaleristic research
It is an indispensable resource for collectors, researchers, museums, and institutions working with Lebanese ODMs.
