What is the Lirat.Me Reference Collection (LRC)?
The Lirat.Me Reference Collection (LRC) is a curated physical collection of coins from modern-day Lebanon. It is mirrored online, with updates to the physical and digital collections synchronized across both platforms. The LRC offers authoritative specimens for study, comparison, and authentication. Maintained by Turathium™ and curated by Engineer Abdallah Absi, the LRC is continuously enriched through the acquisition of rare issues and the upgrading of existing specimens to higher grades. It holds scholarly, archival, and numismatic value.
What does it include?
The LRC encompasses all official circulating and commemorative coin issues of Lebanon from 1924 through 2025, including essais (trial strikes) and multiple examples when needed to document variations in minting, condition, or design.
Why LRC?
The LRC provides essential reference samples for authentication, scholarly research, and numismatic analysis. It plays a vital role in identifying subtle differences between genuine, altered, or counterfeit coins.
