Brilliant finish on is obtained by polishing (rubbing) a metal surface with successively finer abrasives then buffing it with fine buffing compound resulting in smoothness of the surface of a metal object on which optical reflection is maximized also in reduced flaws.
Polished finish is another term for Brilliant finish.
Buffing refers to the use of grease compound in combination with wheels to produce very smooth polished surface. It is usually the final step in a brilliant finishing process.
