The sash badge
The overall impression is of five white arrowheads pointed outwards from a green center.
Obverse: A gilded silver, five-pointed, white and green enameled star of elaborate geometric design, with gilded, scalloped decorative designs between the star’s arms.
Reverse: The reverse is inscribed in Arabic in the center, الاستحقاق السوري (Syrian Merit), surrounded by the Arabic inscription, شرف إخلاص (Honor and Devotion).
On loop for suspension from sash.

Reverse: the reverse presents the maker’s mark for Huguenin, Le Locle, as well as the mark 925 for silver content

The sash
w: 115 mm
White silk with green stripe equals to one third the sash width, ending with a knot from which the decoration is suspended.

Box of issue: Hard shelled case with Syrian coat-of-arms on lid and inside lid
