Description
On April 18, 1996, one of the numerous repetitive Israeli attacks on the Lebanese territory ended with a total of 225 victims of which 199 killed and wounded in Qana. The Cana (Qana) medal is dedicated to the memory of the Lebanese martyrs of the Israeli shelling of Cana (Qana). (Source BDL website).

Obverse
en A bas-relief of a weeping lady, may be a mother holding her dead baby. The background shows killed bodies laid on a ground and a radiant rising sun behind the hills. At the bottom a stylized shape of a cedar tree flanked by the country name in Arabic and French and at the top the title of the medal in both languages is inscribed.
